01. Stuart Broad

Stuart Broad became a popular name in every Indian house when Yuvraj Singh hit 6 sixes in his 6 balls in the first T20 world cup in South Africa. Stuart Broad had a very average career start, but since then he hasn’t looked back. He has played 56 T20 international matches for England and has grabbed 65 wickets with the economy of just over 7 RPO which is pretty much decent in T20 cricket format. He also captained England in T20 cricket. He is one of the best right-arm pacer in the world. He is also called a test match specialist because of his impressive bowling.
Not only bowling, but Broad is also quite a handy batsman as well and capable of hitting big shots. He can bat in lower or middle order and play according to the situation.
This impressive reputation helped Broad to get a contract from Kings XI Punjab for 2011 and 2012, but he was unable to make the trip to india. Broad withdrew himself from the league both the time citing a “calf strain”. Broad was never seen again on the auction table.
Broad could have added great balance for his team with his all-round abilities. More importantly, the pitch at Mohali favours fast bowlers. Still he is one of the players who never played IPL.

The fans could have also watched another encounter between Stuart Broad and Yuvraj Singh. It could have been interesting or not?

02. James Anderson

James Anderson is the highest wicket taker bowler for England. James Anderson is one of the finest swing bowler in today’s cricket. He is also called the king of swing. In simple and short word you can say that James Anderson is really a tough competitor.

From the starting of his career Anderson focused on Tests and ODIs. He was never interested in short format games as it invites more injuries and could effect careers. Anderson kept himself away from IPL just to play only for his country and stay fit because of his frequent injuries.
He has not been considered in T20 cricket since 2014 and has not been grabbed by any IPL franchise. He played his last T20 in 2014.
Seeing this king of swing in the IPL would be a pleasure for the fans.

03. Mushfiqur Rahim

Mushfiqur Rahim has become a world-class performer for Bangladesh across all formats over the last couple of years. Rahim has also made three double-hundreds in Tests in the last couple of years. In T20Is, Rahim has been a spinal column for Bangladesh. Raheem is a T20 specialist with good wicket keeping skills and also a player who can lead the team.

But, since he is an overseas wicket-keeper, and more better options are there in that department. And the teams prefer not to sign a foreign wicket-keeper until he is an exceptional batsman like AB de Villiers, Jos Buttler or Quinton de Kock. That’s why he has never found a bidder in the IPL Auction.

04. Alastair Cook

Alastair Cook is considered to be a classy batsman. Alastair cook has always been a technical player and he is not a prefferable batsman for T20’s as he didn’t make quick runs. He played his last T20 in 2015. He has always played test matches and has most runs for England.
Cook is a veteran of 161 tests tagged as a test player and never had a chance to play IPL.

Philander has played in many T20 leagues across the globe, but never got the chance to play in the IPL.

07. Ian Bell

08. Graeme Swann

09. Joe Root

England’s baby face Joe Root is currently one of the finest players in cricket. His name is compared with the likes of Virat Kohli, Steven Smith, and Kane Williamson. He is on the top level in every format of the game with his great performance. In the World T20 tournament held in India in 2016, he showed us what he is capable of in this format. He was one of the reason behind England reaching the finals that year.
He kept himself out from the auction. And later, he gave his name for the 2018 IPL auctions but unfortunately, he wasn’t picked by any franchise. His availability for the full tournament is also the main reasons for not being picked in the IPL.
In present, Joe Root is the biggest exclusion in the IPL. The tournament has Kohli, Smith and Williamson as well.
